Dancing will begin at
10:45 at Apartheid museum
![]()
…..and continue at
11:30 at Mandela Square.
Location Description: Still to choose between two locations. First Nelson Mandela Square, an affluent shopping complex, and The Apartheid Museum which is located near a casino and a theme park. The intention is to dance outside the museum, in the car park showing that I am now free to dance with whomever I choose.
Location Social Description: Nelson Mandela Square was called Sandton Square as it is located in a shopping complex called Sandton City. It was renamed Nelson Mandela Square and a statue (see image) of Nelson Mandela was erected. Previously an all white shopping complex, now fully nultiracial. At the second location www.apartheidmuseum.org gives the full history. In 2001 a museum depicting the history of apartheid in South Africa was established.
Action runs from 12:00 – 12:30
